A photo that shows my aura? As I was meeting with Aquarius Bookstore at 3936 Broadway, to bring them on board as a MyJoeCard business member, I found myself posing for a photo!  

Before I really had a chance to get started on my presentation, Barbara asked me if I had ever had my Aura photographed. I indicated that I had not, and as well - I didn't know such a thing was possible! Moments later I found myself sitting in 'the chair', thinking "This ought to be interesting." And it was.

I had heard of auras before, but seeing is believing and I had not actually seen someone's aura glowing around their body. Is our life energy/aura real but yet invisible, intangible? Or perhaps just an idea/abstract concept? We usually operate on the 'seeing is believing' basis for what is and is not "real". Although we can't see x-rays, radio waves or microwaves, we know they exist. So why not believe in an aura of life energy around the human body? As humans we do have energy surging through us - synapses firing with electricity, etc. So it makes sense that, yes we probably have some sort of an electrical 'glow' that emanating from our bodies that reflects our personal energy.

So here I found myself preparing to have my aura photographed! It was a very interesting process. On the arms of the chair there is a place where you put your hands. The chair amplifies your body's energy for the special camera. Moments later you see your aura on film. Very cool!

But then, hey, what does all of this mean? Why does my aura look this way? What do the colors mean? When you get your aura photographed, you also get a computer print-out/analysis of your aura, and what it says about you. Before the report was generated, Barbara sat down with me and gave me an aura interpretation. I am skeptical when it comes to things like this. Anytime I hear of someone doing a 'reading', etc. you can pretty much cue the eye-rolling. This was different.  

Barbara is experienced at aura interpretations. Looking at the photograph together, she was able to analyze and explain the different characteristics of my aura, what different colors reflect, as well as size, shape and variance of the aura and what it said about me.  

I was absolutely impressed. The analysis was very personal, professional, insightful and accurate! It should be no surprise that you can now use MyJoeCard at Aquarius Bookstore when getting your aura photographed!

Aura Colors 

Black    Dark and comforting womb of the Mother, deep silence, the void.  Dark and fertile soil which supports our growth and learning process.  The unknown, mysterious and hidden from the conscious mind.  Dignity and power, stabilizing and grounding.  Sorrow, mourning, loss.  Can represent: rage, fear, doubt, denial, misunderstanding, grief, guilt. 

Blue  The highest ideals of truth, loyalty, trust and devotion.  Harmonious and positive. Wise, serene, peaceful, patient, gentle, honest, sincere, reliable.  Creative self-expression and communication.  Cool and calm.  Poised, inner power, contemplation, meditation, and attunement with Spirit.  Can represent: fear, worry, depression, apathy, cold, lack of communication, selfish ambition. May need time for relaxation and rest.

Blue/green (Teal) Ability to heal emotionally, psychologically, spiritually.

Clear  High degree of spirituality, tranquil, clairaudient.

Dark  Inner peace, serene, patient, good judgment, willing to do God’s work.

Turquoise  Positive, tranquil and relaxed.  Positive attitudes. Time to put ideas into action. 

Green   Nature’s color; growth, renewal and healing in body, emotions and mind.  The color of health, youth and fertility.  Exhibits peace, harmony, tranquility, balance, love, understanding, nurturing, compassion, and generosity.  Calm, stabile emotions.  Abundance, prosperity, wealth. Hard worker who is ambitious and reliable, down-to-earth and enterprising.  May rather “think” than “feel” and may avoid revealing emotions or moods.

 Dark or deep (Forest Green) Self expressive, tolerant. 

Indigo  Highest aspirations of the soul.  Expands and enhances one’s perception of realty.  Frees and uplifts the mind from the mundane to the spiritual, from duality into unity.  Inner wisdom, stillness, meditation, contemplation.  Awakened inner vision, intuition and clairvoyance.  Imaginative, inspired, creative, transformation. Unity, synthesis, world service, devotion, humanitarianism.  Can represent: pride, conceit, rigidity, deceit. 

Orange  Creative new ideas and perspectives. Original and independent. Power to cope with life and work creatively and harmoniously with others.  Warm, comforting, joyous and cheerful.  Tolerant and sociable with good rapport with people. Good self-esteem, courageous and assertive. Creative and achieves accomplishments.  Can represent: intolerance, overindulgence, lust, possessiveness, confusion, lack of purpose. 

Red     Strong, confident, courageous, strong willpower, assertive, alert, strong initiative, determined, motivated.  Suggests honor, integrity, independence, authority, leadership.  Able to cope with life and meet challenges with optimism, hope and cheerfulness. Active and self-confident. Feelings of love, sexuality, passion.  Energetic and vital. Like to “push the envelope” and be cutting edge. Can represent sexual overindulgence, overbearing assertiveness, aggression, impulsiveness, impatience, selfishness. Avoid analyzing feelings.

Pink Glowing with compassion and love. Eager to give of oneself. Warm and tender. In love or sharing good times with many friends.

Burgundy  “Turned on”  In the mood for romance.   

Violet   Divine nature and highest spiritual aspirations. Psychic awareness. Uplifting and inspirational.  Transformation, change and purification on all levels of being.  Spiritual growth by accelerating the release and positive transformation of old mental/emotional patterns.  Forgiveness, devotion, service, loyalty, grace, tenderness.  Meditation, relaxation, contemplation, insight, intuition.  Can represent: intolerance, anger, injustice, arrogance, martyrdom.

Lavender  Connected with higher energy, mystery and healing power. Need harmony, peace and quiet contemplation. Thinking is clear and pure. Dreams are important. 

White   Blending and fusion of all rainbow colors so contains the totality of all their qualities.  Supreme power, perfection, unity, spiritual healing, purity, chastity, holiness, radiance of God.  Acceleration, expansion and transformation of consciousness.  Can represent: being overly optimistic or idealistic, lack of balance and stability. Day dreaming, physical pain, holding back from expressing oneself. 

Yellow   Like sunlight, the animating color of life.  Awakening, transforming, radiant, expressive.  Brings joy, enthusiasm, optimism, humor and laughter. Lighthearted and carefree. Representative of knowledge, intellect, wisdom, brilliance and illumination; stimulates the higher reasoning faculties of the mind.  Self-esteem, self-control, mastery of desire.  Instinctual awareness (gut feelings).  Attention to details, organization, discipline. Can represent: critical, over-indulgent, lazy, stubborn, selfish, cynical, bitter. Using “head” to the exclusion of feelings and intuition.

Tint of green and cloudy  Excessive thought, worry, analytically critical, dogmatic.
